Be aware that banks do not tend to understand cashiers checks. I know of
people who thought they could beat this by waiting until the bank swore up
and down that the check had cleared before sending the guy the rest of his
money and signing over the title, etc. Turns out that the bank came back
several weeks later and told him that it had not cleared after all and he
was out of luck. Just another variation of the Nigerian bank account scam.
