You DON'T have to have what they say,
if "they came with the car" (older) when you purchased it.
The foregoing aside, I believe in shoulder
straps, personally. I wouldn't think of even
starting an engine in an airplane without
fastening the seatbelt, inclusive of the
shoulder harness. Should be same with
the car.
