Good for you...you figured it out!!!

Yes...theoretically (and in practice if you've got the patience) you can
do it
this way, but you've got to keep the MC
topped off to the extent no more air
can "get in" as you go through your "procedure". This means "no falling
asleep at the wheel" as the fluid slowly
drips out, hour by hour (hour after hour, after hour!!:).

Perhaps an "egg timer" or alarm clock
will be useful, here...or a good book....
maybe many books! :):)

Once you've done it this way, you'll understand why most people prefer
to
do it the (normal) "other" way. 

But in theory, you're right! <VBG>:):)
