When the car stalls, try removing the gas cap, if you get a rush of air,
the vent in the cap is rusted closed. New cap or just slit the rubber
gasket.
Your fuel pump may be heading south too. Or there is a leak (air) either
at the fittings on the pump or the hose from tank to pump. Usually a
cracked plastic nipple on the fuel pump.
If you can wait, or get no offers on a header rail, I will check out at
the chicken coop this weekend. I know I had a bum frame, if the header
is still there it's yours for whatever the shipping is.
