Can you share the name of the insurance company with us?

That would be nice, wouldn't it? ANPAC (American National Property and
Casualty) is the company and the office is in San Diego. Don't think it
would be
appropriate to publish their address on the list. I have ZIP experience
but their ratings look good, and they have been more than helpful in getting
what I think I need at a good price. I have not yet made a final decision
because the only thing I don't have with these guys is experience and their
rate is
slightly higher. They appear to have a slightly better homeowners/umbrella
policy, which is important to me.

Incidentally, I do read the policies when they come in and verify that they
say what I've been told. Then I hope that I don't have to test their claims
service any time soon.

The current policy, which is with AAA covers Full liability and property
damage, comp, collision, UMC with $20K as agreed upon value. There are no
restrictions as to where and when the car can be driven. For the record, my
claims experience with AAA has been great. My only reason for considering
dropping them is difficulty coordinating the pieces to qualify for the
umbrella
policy.

There is definitely no finanacial interest on my part. YMMV.

By the way, Guy, you are correct--it isn't difficult. The trick is to
follow the rules implicitly and don't make a late payment. Be careful and
vigilant if you try to play these games, otherwise you may find yourself
having to
pay an exorbitant interest charge because of "transgressions" that you didn't
know about--at least that's what I hear from others.
