Mine is an RB '75, built in February of that year.  Engine is a 1500.  Carb
is single ZS on right hand side of engine.  Dizzy is on the left side but is
non-original and appears to be off a late '60's Austin 1100.

The car originally came with a manual choke, as did all non-Federal (if that
is the right term) Midgets in '75 if my understanding is correct.  Photo of

Let's start with the basics.  If you have a '75 model (as opposed to a '74
that was titled in '75) your carb(s) will be on the right side of the
engine, with the distributor on the left (as you're sitting in the car).  
(You would also probably have rubber bumpers, but some folks have converted
them to chrome bumpers, so I won't rely on that more obvious idfference).

Now if it's a '75 model, the factory sent them out with a single Stromberg
carb with an automatic choke (no choke cable).  So, what do you have on
there, and what did the PO do to it?

If it's a '74 model (titled in '75), then the position of the carbs and
distributor will be reversed (carbs on left, dizzy on right), and they left
the factory with dual SUs.
