But a seller using a shill bid could care less about sniping.  Indeed, 
they welcome them because a snipe has just been duped into bidding more 
than what an competitive auction would bring for an item.  The role of 
the shill is to boost the final selling price through artificial 
competition.  That is why I simply ignore a seller who I have detected 
of having used shill bids.
