For a 1978/79 Midget, I prefer something that matches the original gauges. 
Watch ebay for an 1978-79 MGB mechanical oil pressure gauge.  It has the 
same face, needle, & number font as the Midget gauges you have now. You can 
mount this in the center console, and it will look like it belongs.  To 
complete your "stock" look, you can add a voltmeter from a Triumph TR-6.  I 
like the look of these gauges so much I also use them in my Ford Torino!
The oil gauge is mechanical, steal a copper line from a 75-77  Midget, and 
put a "T" fitting here the oil pressure idiot light sender is located.
