The Race series for 2008 has been in planning for 2 years already.
VIR is one of the planned events for the race series.

Looking that far ahead, you might consider contacting Harvey Sigel, who owns
Virginia International Raceway, and ask him to consider doing the 50th
Sprite Birthday Bash as the featured marque at the Gold Cup Historics/VIR
Homecoming in 2008. That race weekend is always the second in June. Harvey
really knows how to throw a party there! Could be really impressive, with
many high profile folks, and media coverage. Just another thought...
