Basic Detox, Easily reversable:
Remove smog pump belt
Set Timing to 4 degrees BTDC
Remove Vacuum hose to EGR valve & plug
Remove Air filter box, & hot air supply, replace with K&N Filter.
Replace Water Choke with a manual choke kit
Intermediate Detox, save parts, you never know when you'll need them:
Remove Smog Pump, Remove Air injection rails to head & Plug holes
Remove ZS Carburetor & replace with Weber Down Draft Carb
Replace Distributor with one from an earlier car with a more agressive
advance curve. Maximize iginition advance.
Remove Exhaust manifold/catalytic converter & replace with header & free
flow exhaust.
Advanced Detox, point of no return:
All of the above, except
Replace Carburetor with Side Draft Weber
Replace Low compression pistons with high compression pistons
Replace Camshaft with more agressive profile
Vent gas tank to atmosphere & remove all charcoal canisters.
