I think a chemist wrote that recipe. An engineer would have added the 
disclaimer 'This procedure does not purport to address all of the safety 
concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the 
user of this procedure to establish safety and health practices and determine 
the applicability of all regulatory limitations prior to use. In particular, 
the relavant ANSI and OSHA standards must be observed'.
