It is all crap as you have noticed. I had an exhaust mount fall apart
before I could get the muffler on. Not only was the rubber crap but the
steel backer was RUSTED! I had two so I tried the other one only to have
the same thing happen. I found one in my junk box that I took off a 50 year
old 100 that looked bad but was solid, still using it. When I complained to
Mo$$ I was told I was just not appreciative of their efforts. Next were the
grommets for the jack hole, so much flash around the edges and such a poor
part I took them out of the bag and threw them away. Wiper grommets, hard
as a rock and I had to cut them to get them in the holes. Front rebound
bumpers, worthless! Windshield post pads cracked in two weeks, I will use
the old dirty stuff before I will buy another piece of rubber from the "big
two". I can't help but believe that it is being made to a spec that is
given to the Chinese by a bunch of know nothing bean counters. I don't mind
paying a little more for quality but it is hard to find. Martin MacGregor
is my only source for now, so far the stuff from him has lasted a few years
not a few weeks.
