We have a rack similar to that on my wife's Volvo. I don't think it will
work with your truck cap. On my pickup truck I have a rack like this
that goes in the bed:

I'm not sure you would have the clearance under the cap though for that.
You'd need to check. If you have a trailer hitch you could use a hitch
rack:

And if you don't have a hitch you'd probably need to go with a roof rack:
