eBay motors charges up front not a percentage like eBay. I tried to sell my
truck last summer rather than trade it in.

Not if the sale doesn't happen. He can claim non-payment and not have
to pay ebay fees. As it is he ended the auction early. He probably
got a sucker to pay $15,000 or so and ran laughing to the bank.
