I just measured one of my ribcases -- 1/2" on the input shaft.

Yes Pat, BUT most "shadetree mechanic" situtions do not allow for having a
caliper for measuring something THAT small (5/8" and smaller).  BUT that 
said
a drift should be the same size as the rib-caged tranny input shaft which
Daniel says he does not have.

So the answer he is looking for would be a drift either 11/16s or 5/8s" or
9/16s or 1/2s", I beleive.

I also do not have an input shaft to measure.  Perhaps someone DOES have
either or both handy to measure correctly?!?!?
