I have packing blankets clipped to the lip on both fenders, and the scuttle.
The blankets hang over the fenders, as well as the windscreen and white top,
to prevent "coloring" from any stray bits of debris flying off as I clean.
As far as what is under the bonnet, I am not to terribly concerned about it,
it is a bit of white paint, with the pinkish primer showing through in many
area. I know it won't look "restored" but I will feel better, putting this
new engine inside a clean bay, rather than a filthy one. Plus, the white
paint should make spotting leaks a bit easier. <G>
