In my 61 bugeye I have a basically stock 1275, but bored + .030".  I  also 
have a ribcase tranny.  I am currently running a 4.22 rear, but have a  3.90 to 
be rebuilt and installed sometime.

I'm just curious. ... At a  dinner discussion with some very
knowledgeable people I was  speculated about moving from my 1098 to a
1275 and it was asked WHY?  and it was pointed out the the 1098 is a
GREAT engine. (especially  for MY driving style?)....So ..
