Thanks, Gerard. I don't recall my hardtop having any indentation, so I
guess the top for the MkI Midget/Mk II Sprite is different than the one for
the Mk I Sprite.

You can buy reproduction MKI Sprite latches from AH-Spares. Not sure if your
top is formed to fit these or not. They sit in an indentation so they are
near flash when latched down.
