Most County Sheriffs, other than Portland, Salem, & Eugene, feel the same way
as yours. The Governor, however, would probably call out the National Guard.

Kate - Who doesn't miss $3000 property taxes either.

Oregon is like Nevada; as stated by Kate. I agree the CA requirement is just
plainn stupid, IMHO. I don't care how fast you are or what you "carry", if you
are looking down the barrel of a weapon, you won't be fast enough!

I had lunch yesterday with our Sheriff. He will not take anyone's guns if the
Feds pass such a law.

Here's an interesting fact; Oregon has 36 Counties. 34 have Republican
Sheriffs. Can you guess who believes in the second amendment rights....

No offense intended, but that is about the goofiest law I have ever heard of.
What good is an unloaded weapon? "Excuse me, Mr. Criminal, but would you mind
not shooting me until I have time to load my weapon and chamber a round?" I
don't hardly think so!

In Nevada, you can openly carry your properly loaded pistol without a permit.
You may also keep a fully loaded weapon concealed within your vehicle. With a
CCW permit, you may carry your loaded weapon concealed on your person where it
is actually able to do some good, should it be necessary.
