I soaked the pistons from the top for a long time with PB blaster, and
beat the $%$&*^ out of them from the top with a block of wood and hammer
(BFH). Well they were all 4 connected to the crank but I thought if I
could get them worked loose just a little bit then I could get it to
work. With the position of the crankshaft even if I take all 4 rod caps
off, and start beating on the top of the pistons, I will still be trying
to move 3 of the 4 pistons, which would be a slight advantage but maybe
not enough.

By the time I got the pan off this afternoon I was tired and a little
frustrated, and in my home workshop I don't have a good selection of big
punches like my dad does, or I might have been able to get the piston
out from the bottom. I was hoping to get them out without damaging
them, but we might be past that now.
