Thats what I was afraid of but that wasn't the problem.
I pulled the dizzy to switch out the wire only to find it was in perfect
condition.B the odd thing was that I apparently wore down my point so far
that it no longer contacted the spindle and could not be tightened to make
it.B Anybody ever see that? or did i cause it by shorting out the dizzy?B
Either way i swapped in my spare dizzy and she fired right up.B Now I just
have to hope my timing isn't to far out.B well I will go for a ride tomorrow
and find out.

If it has points, you probably fries the connector wire inside the B
dizzy that the negative wire connects to on the side of the dizzy. B
(That's where the spade connector for the (-) wire should go).
It only takes a split second of (+) voltage to fry the wire inside B
the dizzy.
Easy to replace.....
