The projected track of Hurricane Irene is going to put Long Island in the
right front quadrant of the storm. This is the most dangerous area for
storm surge, wind and rain. Ya'll pay close attention to the radio and TV.
If they start talking evacuation, get the hell out! Don't be like those
folks in New Orleans who said, "Oh, it won't be bad. It never is." Think
about traffic jams bringing the evacuation routes to a standstill ...
Think about 20 foot storm surge if you live along the south coast of LI....

David Booker, Michael Rowe, Cap'n Bob... This is for you guys and I know
there are more Long Islanders on the lists!!!

Down the coast... Frankie.... If the monster's eye passes just west of
you as currently forecast its going to bring a storm surge with feet of
water out of Barnegat Bay, through the yacht club and right on up
Garfield... Stay alert!!
