ok so it's 5:15am tuesday and no one has responded to this issue in the
correct order yet? first off if you had to change the push rods them you must
have a 3/4" bore master cylinder in the car as the 7/8" bore one was the
correct bore unit for 4 whel drum brakes. the 3/4" bore one was for disc
brakes. not only were the two identical in initial inspection but they had
distinct difrent pistons requiring the two difrent length push rods.
now hydrauluically the 3/4 bore master does not push enough fluid to properly
actuate the drum brakes 6 wheel cylinders. but a 7/8" bore master can actuate
the upgraded aplication of front disc brakes.
now only the volume of fluid is being considered here , not the amount of
pressure generated by the two difret bore cylinders.

umm think this may be the problem?

Thanks to everyone for the rapid responses. Lots to consider. The brakes
are
not currently binding. The original problem was a too long pushrod in an
upgraded master. That's corrected and there is ample fee movement. Now I
can't get a good pedal after bleeding. I'll make another thorough look at
everything including the master ( not assuming that it was overhauled
correctly).

I'll report back.
