Hi, I'm a new subscriber to this list, so forgive any stupid questions
please. I have a '65 mark I with a four year old top that has never
been up because I broke the little chrome bit that pulls it forward.
The part I lack is the rod on the side support that fits into the hole
on the metal bit at the front of the convertible top (sorry for the
highly technical jargon). The broken one is on the driver's side, if
it matters, which it probably does. Any help in locating a replacement
would be greatly appreciated, as the part is so obscure that none of
the Tiger catalogs i've seen list it. A donor from a dead car is
probably my only hope, but I have yet to see a Tiger or Alpine since
moving to St.Louis from Vancouver (where they are practically
commonplace).
My car is still in storage in Canada, so there is no urgency, but I
wouldn't mind the option of putting up the soft top!
