Thanks for the signature comment. With the torque that an FI 5.0L GT, I
agree that it is no slouch. But, my comments were related to a 260 2BBL.
There is a very good T-5 replacement TREMEC (about $1000), who
originally made the top-loader. It's a lot stronger than the T-5, which
BTW is also now being made by TREMEC in Mexico. You could get one into
your Mustang, with a little 1 1/2" Tunnel raising at the firewall. For a
lot of money you can even get it with an 0.8 OD (about $2000).
Funny, I just sold my '66 Mustang GT convertible with air and discs and
"traded up" for my '65 Tiger. Lot's more fun, even without air.
