I've got a pair of C9OE's on the shelf myself. These are the same castings
I ran for about 4 years in the early seventies, on my HIPO block. My
first set was lost to over exuberance in developing higher flows. I have
held on to these for a long time, but they are technologically obsolete
compaired to the new stuff out today. I don't remember ever drilling my
first set except for screw-invalve studs but I do remember something about
enlarging one of the headgasket holes to reduce a potential hot spot in
the head. It's been more than a few years, but that info came out of Fords
early high performance newsletters. I might be able to find it, but it
would take a lot of effort and time to search my old file. I have not seen
anything new on this subject for years, so I don't know what the current
discussion is about.
