Hmm,
I see. If someone has a Tiger that may not be a Tiger, it's STOA's fault?
STOA is 'responsible' for getting in their pocket, and causing them
possible financial damage when it would be discovered their car was not
assembled on the Jensen line, but rather, from an Alpine conversion at Fred's
Auto and Paint Emporium? Seems that is NOT STOA's problem...if someone
bought a clone/Alger they can't blame STOA when they point it out to them.
If they choose to not get it inspected, their car is like THOUSANDS of
others Tigers that haven't been inspected-I don't see that as a negative, and
I've never heard of a Tiger really being 'devalued' because it lacked TAC
certification. If it failed TAC then yes, that could hurt value, but not if
the car had never been TACed. If anyone has, I'd like to know.

You know, maybe the real problem is the clubs. Yeah, lets get rid of
them-they're too elitist. Then you know, I bet I can find some of these
parts cheaper than at Sunbeam Specialties or Tiger Tom's or Sunbeam Classics.
Yeah, who need Dale's disc brake kit, I can figure out how he did it for
less than his kit (read with a barely contained snarl of sarcasm)...thinking
like that will be the death of the marque.

If we don't act together, the cars will cease being viable. Rick McLeod says
he has less than 10,000 customers in his database now. Do you really think
it will be easy to function on your own? Tigers are a very small pool, and
that pool could dry up if we aren't smart enough to feed it properly, and
keep it stocked. Some where, some one has the big picture ideas that could
make this more fun, and rewarding for owners nationwide. I'd like to hear
THAT, rather than attacks on services and people that promote the marque,
like the efforts of STOA and others.

Sheesh, I don't even own a Tiger anymore, and this topic still gets me
cheesed. Dissent is wonderful and debate ideal. Let's try to keep the
debate going forwards, so we get somewhere, as in more parts availability,
more involved memberships, more interest in the cars, more available fun? If
you haven't done something beneficial for the marque, do something soon.
Thanks to all of you who have worked to make a difference.
