Your suppositions assume there was some kind of "engineering" going on at
Rootes/Sunbeam, regarding  the Tiger.  On this point I'm afraid I'm
skeptical.  The large turning radius is the result of the toe-in that
becomes progressively worse the tighter you try to turn.  At full lock on
the stock Tiger, the toe-in is ca. 4"!!  This is REALLY BAD ACKERMAN.  If
the outside wheel turned in less and the inside more, the front wheels
would fight each other less and more would be accomplished in terms of
steering the car.  Solution: Get MGB steering arms and move the rack back
1/2-3/4".
