I second the don't use and adaptor plate idea. Find a wide pattern trans; have it rebuilt by Dan Williams and bolt it right up to your six bolt 302/289. I used a 3/4 inch thick steel plate, milled and bored for a slave mount. = Doesn't seem to flex at all. Regards, Jim Parent B9470139 |
