Hey, guys:

Why don't we just settle down a little here over this Tiger manual
business? Being an outsider looking in, it is obvious there is some
serious bad blood here between two distinct Tiger factions on the west
coast. It is even spilling over to the UK! The facts here as I see them
are that, one, the STOA did not want the "Tiger Identification Manual"
project to get off the ground and , two, Tiger Technologies has stated that
they are not going to do the manual. End of story.

I would hope the majority of us on this mail list are here for the mutual
sharing of info and knowledge about the Sunbeam Tiger. This list has, so
far, been of great help to me in getting some questions answered that I
have had. I do appreciate all the people who are considerate enough to
help out a fellow Tiger owner in need of info. What I don't appreciate is
the fact that the whole list has to see all this mud slinging between these
two groups who apparently are not very fond of each other. The question
that comes to mind is "Is this really worth getting this pissed off over?"

I served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Region of the Shelby
American Automobile Club for over twelve years back in the 80's and early
90's. I witnessed this type of behavior literally tear that club apart.
There was so much pettiness and bad blood in the group that myself and
several others felt compelled to leave the group. To sum it up, it just
flat wasn't fun anymore. So come on, guys...lets keep our egos and our
pride in check, lest we travel down that same path to destruction.

You know, I always thought it would be nice to live on the west coast,
closer to the hotbed of Tiger action. I'm not so sure anymore...
