Hi:

I have had great luck using the foam padding used on of cars with "Landau"
(sp?) tops such as the big American land tuna boats. I get the stuff from
auto top / upholstery installers and use 3M glue. The stuff is about 1/4"
thick, very dense but light and cuts using a pair of scissors. I installed
it in place of and exactly as the old tarpaper stuff on the floor and in the
doors. etc.. It does not absorb water, is stable, and doesn't deteriorate.
