Thanks for the info on the stripe source and size.
I also sent out 14 copies of the Tiger drawing tonight.
I noticed that many of the destinations for the drawing
were apparently not home mail addresses. Our tax dollers
at work for a good cause! Enjoy.
On my Tiger II I use regular rebuilt Ford waterpumps (cast iron).
I remove the rear cover and support the shaft passing through the
impeller with a socket in a big vise. A larger socket is used on the
flange ( to clear the shaft). A 3 lb. hammer is used to move the
flange back. I have found that cheap universal replacement lawnmower
blades normally come with various sized washers to make the blade
"fit the shaft". One of these washers is slipped over the waterpump
shaft and that matches the 1" hole of the original fan to the standard
Ford shaft. I use larger OD flat washers under the fan mounting
bolts to secure the "lawnmower washer". Of course if you have
changed your fan, you may not have a 1" hole to fill up.
So far the only hub that has come loose is the original
unmodified Tiger waterpump hub. None of the modified
rebuilt waterpumps have had a problem.
This also gives you a spare blade for your lawnmower.
Don't mount the lawnmower blade to the waterpump
unless you drive in tall grass. The blade is a poor fan
and it has a tendency to cut the steering rack in two.
