The Chrysler left-handed studs did indeed have an "L" stamped in the end,
and weren't a bad idea. I have had rear lug nuts come loose several times
on the Tiger. The Chrysler people always thought it was inportant,
particularly with aluminum wheels which are more heat sensitive.

Listers,

As I recall the old Chrysler left handed studs had a "L" stamped into the
end of them to remind you not to twist them off by turning the "right" way.
Is this the case? If so, maybe Stuarts car did a little time in a
Chrysler/Sunbeam repair facility back in the sixties for damaged wheel
mounting studs, and the originals were replaced with a Chyrsler left handed
model. Just a guess.
