For engine/trans removal you could build some scissor lift thing, kind of a
cross between a traditional transmission jack and a drywall sheet lift, that
bolts to a point on the transmission and a couple on the engine, and allows you
to set the tilt at whatever angle you want. I don't know if I'd want to "swing
out" an engine and transmission. "Ladies and gentlemen, tonight we have the 600
lb pendulum vs. the Tiger on its side".
