Theo is correct, I just used a poor choice of the word 'two alternatives'  it is
'an alternative' to pulling it off.  Both must be done.  BTW: The recommended
system does NOT have curved blades, which can reduce noise, but straight blades 
for
more efficient air pumping. At least, that's what Bob assures me, and the CFM of
the unit bear this out.  Properly mounted, and even longer motor is possible, 
but
not necessarily needed.
