gold vs blue

Probably the Book of Norman will help with Tiger engine colors, but

I think the Ford blue motors were started for the model year 1966, and
my motor from a '67 Mustang (289-4V) is blue. I think the gold valve
covers, gold air filter housing, and black engine block was from the
first Mustang through the end of the 1965 model year, and some of the
early 260's from before Mustang came through yellow and black.
