Michael Kelly asks about Mark's request for money:

First, yes, it is absolutely legit. Second, in the past 8 or so years that
I have been on this list, I only recall him asking twice. I've put in
money each time, less probably that many auto magazine subscriptions or
club dues, but infinitely worth more than those put together.
Here by the way is a response from someone on the Alpine list that covers
it well:
