I had the same problem with a carter pump in my Tiger. It started quiting on
me at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona last Thanksgiving. The interstates down
here have tractor treads along the sides to wake you up when you go to
sleep. I found out they are just the thing to start a balky fuel pump in the
middle of the night. Worked four times on the way home.
