Tim,

    This is just a thought and I have not ever used this before with car,
but you can get a disc type fan/limit switch, from any HVAC Supply company,
that is used on heaters. Connect load to one side and power to the other.
These come in different temp ratings. Anything between 180-200 I would think
would work. You could build a bracket that could mount on the current
mounting bolts for the radiator that would hold the fan/limit switch up
against the radiator. when the temp gets to the rated high temp the switch
activates completing the circuit and your fan would come on. When the temp
reaches the rated lower limit the circuit is broken and the fan shuts off.
Same system used on all home heating systems with forced air circulation.
Theoretically this should work for cars too.
