tach tech tip

        I just completed tom halls tech tip on my mk1a tach.  Previously it
had no movement.  I have a ford  electronic  ignition in the car.  i get
movement now but can't quite adjust the dashpot low enough.  It reads
about1100  rpm when my sun timing lite reads 775 .  It also is a bit jumpy.
About 200-300 rpm.  Did my electronics guy put a resistor of the wrong value
in?  thanks
