Have any of the left coast clubs, CAT/STOA, made any decisions about dates
for any Tigers United or North/South events for next year? The reason I
ask is that Central Coast (CA) Brit Car Club has an annual all Brit show in
Ventura at the end of July. This event attracts about 120 cars of all Brit
makes and each year they select a featured marque. This year was the 10th,
and Land Rover was headliner, but a Sunbeam Talbot 90 won best of show, with
several Tigers/Alpines present. Having run through most of the more common
makes, the club is considering making Sunbeam or Rootes the featured marque
for 2001, but for this to be successful they need to avoid a schedule
conflict to attract a respectable showing. The Sunbeam sites give me no
clues yet.
