Dear Listers:

I'd really appreciate your
collective help in tracking down any
leads and information on my first
Tiger. I'm not looking to purchase
it, but I'd love to complete some
scrapbook information and I need
some help in my restoration of my
current (almost identical) Tiger.
Of course, it would also just be
great to know if it's still around
after almost 20 years!
I wish I had retained the VIN number
(that is one of the things I want to
find out) but my car was a green '66
MK1A and I sold it circa 1973 in
Columbus Ohio. It was purchased by
a man who worked at an import parts
store in the Grandview area of
Columbus. (FYI - Prior to that I
owned it for many years in Columbus
and Cincinnati - and autocrossed it
regularly with the OSU and GDAC
clubs.)
Distinguishing features included:
White racing stripes (vinyl) along
the rocker panels
Original Clock and Hardtop
A very "creative" assembly of
aluminum rods that snapped together
to form a support platform under the
tonneau cover. (The guy I bought it
from did not like the tonneau to
flap in the wind!) It also had a
unique add-on emergency flasher
module that flashed the lights in an
alternating left-to-right fashion.
Otherwise, it was mechanically and
cosmetically stock.

If any of you can remember this car
or might know how to find any
subsequent owners, I would be really
grateful for your help.

Thanks
