Rose,
        I agree with Steve, use high quality urathane 2 part paint.
One old name was Emeron, but there are many brands now.
Clear coat is also the way to go for the finish.  Just do not
put the hardtop on for several months, even though the 2 part
is "catalized" it is still soft for a a few months.  As I found out
you can "slide" the paint where the hard top rear fits.
