At idle your alternator should put out about 13.5 - 13.7
volts.  If you are getting less when its hot, it sounds
like one of the diodes is going.  As each diode fails
you get less voltage out of the alternator.  One diode
bad = about 12.5, 2 diodes bad = 10 volts and so on.
You can find diodes, but perhaps its  just better to
replace the alternator.  Don't do a core exchange until
you make sure the pulley lines up.
