I recently purchased a Hurst shifter for my Tiger, but did not get any
instructions. I installed it and it all fits nicely; however it does not want
to stay in 2nd gear when shifting from first, or is hard to get into 2nd. I
checked tunnel clearance and nothing hits in any direction or in any gear. It
will stay in 2nd when starting out in 2nd. I do remember from 30 years ago that
you need an alignment pin to place the linkage in neutral; I seem to remember
then making sure the trans was in neutral and aligning the shift rods with the
flats on the trans without moving the shifter or the trans flats. Is this all
there is to it?
Does anyone have a set of instruction that could be scanned, or a copy of a set
that could be snail-mailed?
I would surely appreciate any help getting the Tiger back on the road.
