The recent news reports that Excite at Home is closing it's doors, by
bankruptcy court order, midnight Friday.
All you Tiger's who use them better get a new service fast.
I recommend RoadRunner, if you get it on your cable, as it is really
fast and good 24/7/365 service. Cheaper than a separate second phone and
a dial-up ISP, if you are already getting cable. And one hell of a lot
faster than DSL, no matter what your phone company tells you.
Meanwhile, you can't even use the free emails at Yahoo.com,
Netscape.com, or msn.com, because you won't be able to get to them.
The entire industry is getting in fewer and fewer hands, and they all
want you to stay with their sources that pay them, like AOL has been
doing forever. AT&T says they are considering business users only.
