We have received an anonymous report that you have changed the official
New Jersey registered VIN number on your 1965 ROOTSMOBILE from it's
recorded and official number, to a different number - 845560.
This act, if true, is in violation of the Motor Vehicle Act, and it is
considered a crime, not a misdemeanor, to alter the official
registration numbers.
Please report to the neared New Jersey State Police office to have your
vehicle inspected for compliance with the laws. The results of this
examination will determine our next action.
