Look up Motion Industries, they are down in the Kearney Mesa Area.
They sell what you want. The name of them escapes me at the moment.
I used one on a shaft I made, where I did not want to be bothered with heat
treating the shaft. It wore well and installed easily.
I am assuming what you want is a thin stainless steel sleeve that will
press over the worn out area of the shaft.
They are called shaft savers or something silly like that.
