When Mr Sage writes that he used washers to try to seal the stop light
switch to the brake line hub near the frame rail, were the washers
sealing washers or just something from the hardware drawer?
A lot of modern brake systems use aluminum sealing washers for the only
sealing material between a hose and the ABS pump or caliper, and they
work for thousands of miles (until you need to break the connection again).
Bring the switch with you and try washers from a Honda or Isuzu dealer
for the right inside diameter.
