Here's a post from the Humber list that may be of interest to owners of
other Rootes cars, apparently someone in the Humber club of South
Australia can make up an electronics box for them. Anyone out there
with a spare non-working clock for my S3 Alpine (I just have the blank
in the dash)

one fault - the clock won't go. I've had it repaired twice but it still
stops after a few hours. I've also connected it directly to a battery to
make sure it isn't the wiring in the car that's at fault.

because it stares you in the face everytime you get in the car, so I'd love
to fix it. I know you can get a quartz conversion done at some places in the
US & UK, but I'd rather keep it original (I'm also in Australia so, what
with the value of our dollar, a clock converted in the US might be an
expensive clock).
